DESCRIPTION: Paine College proudly announces a week-long celebration to mark the investiture of Dr. Lester A. McCorn as the 18th President of the College. Taking place the week of September 18, 2025, the celebration will include a series of events honoring the Paine College community, alumni, friends, students, faculty, and supporters. Highlights of Investiture Week Include:Mon. Sept 15 – Jim Dent Memorial Golf ClassicTues. Sept 16 – President’s Inaugural Community Toast (Free & Open to the Public)Wed. Sept 17 – President’s Inaugural Lecture Series featuring Dr. Hakim Lucas, President of Virginia Union University (Free & Open to the Public)Wed. Sept 17 – Community Ecumenical Worship Service, Gilbert Lambuth Memorial Chapel (Free & Open to the Public)Thurs. Sept 18 - The installation of President McCorn. Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial ChapelThurs. Sept 18 – Investiture Service Reception (Free)Thurs. Sept 18 – Inauguration Scholarship Gala  (Columbia County Exhibition Center): $150 per ticketSat. Sept 20 – Campus Festival hosted by Paine StudentsThe community, trustees, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the College are invited to participate in this historic occasion.
