Mr. Johnny C. Nimes entered into rest on Monday, March 3, 2025.  Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Berean Christian Church, 2201 Young Road, Stone Mountain, GA.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Julia Mae Nimes, his brother Charles E. Nimes, Jr., and his sister Elizabeth Nimes Thornton. He is survived by his wife Marchete Seay Nimes, his daughter Tara Nimes Terrell, son-in-law Octavius Terrell, three grandchildren Miles Terrell, Olivia Terrell and Madelyn Terrell, eight sisters-in-law, Betty Lee Nimes, Christine O’Neal Johnson, Herney O’Neal Figueroa, Irma O’Neal Ellison, Lucinda O’Neal, Loretta O’Neal Webb, Sherrie O’Neal and Latasha O’Neal Hart, two brothers-in-law, Christopher O’Neal and Thomas Johnson, a host of nieces and nephews and five childhood friends of over 60 years, Bruce Bates,  Barry Coleman, Ricardo Daggett, Samuel Hickson and Glenn Singfield.
